Let's talk about flush mounting speakers.
This is where you basically build your speakers right into the front wall of your studio.
Maybe you've seen this around, especially from high grade mastering studios.
And if you've asked about speaker placement on some forum, somebody surely will have told you:
“You got to flush mount your speakers. It's the greatest thing in the world.”
So maybe you're thinking about this right now for your home studio, wondering if you should actually go through that effort of designing and building a setup where your speakers are flush mounted into the wall.
Here’s my take.
Spoiler alert: I think it’s a terrible idea.
